Playworld Systems will present new playground equipment and the company's new, safe playground flooring at the 2013 NRPA Congress and Exposition.

Playworld Systems, one of the leading manufacturers of playground equipment and fitness systems, will present its new products at the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Congress and Exposition 2013 which takes place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX, from October 8 to 10. Playworld Systems will showcase a new range of site furnishings as well as the new SMARTE® Safety Surfacing, and also take part in several seminars on reduction of maintenance and the durability of playground equipment.

Playworld is notable for a number of playground products for children of all ages, including NEOS Outdoor Electronic Playgrounds. The NEOS playgrounds combine the fun of playing video games with the excitement of outdoor exercise and play and are a popular choice for parks and other outdoor play areas.

NEOS is the first electronic play system designed specifically for the playground. It delivers both entertainment and a physically challenging workout for kids, one comparable to jogging or soccer. Other than aerobic exercise, the system provides a fun way for children to improve their coordination, agility, strength, and stamina as well as to develop social and teamwork skills. NEOS can be used in parks, schoolyards, playgrounds, and other play areas for kids. Watch the video to see how the system works.

Playworld Systems' new collection of site furnishings will be on display at the company's booth, where visitors will be able to get more information about the design, quality, and safety of the company's new offerings. The new products are made of premium materials and designed to improve and enhance children's playgrounds, parks, municipal areas, and other outdoor environments. Playworld's new collection showcases the company's dedication to design and craftsmanship as well as to practical functionality, which is evident in all five collections. All collections contain concealed hardware, allowing the product's distinctive design to take the spotlight. Attendees will be able to see and touch on the quality of new Playworld Systems products at the Expo.

Playworld will also present SMARTE Safety Surfacing, a safe and practical playground surface that the company acquired earlier this year as it complements Playworld's range of playground products very well. The SMARTE Safety Surfacing contains secured recycled rubber mulch and is notable for safety and accessibility as well as sustainability and convenience. The playground surface enhances the appearance of children's playgrounds and other play spaces and protects kids from slips and spills.

SMARTE, which is available with a unitary turf surface, is stable, firm and slip resistant, and it allows access by mobility devices, reflecting the company's continuing commitment to inclusive play. The playground surface complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessible Guidelines (ADAAG), ensuring that people of all ages and abilities can access outdoor playground equipment safely. SMARTE also surpasses industry standards for head impact criterion (HIC), an important metric not only for rating the safety of playground surfacing products, but also of automobiles, sports equipment, and protective gear. Visitors will be able to see SMARTE for themselves at the Playworld Systems' booth at the NRPA.

Matthew Miller, CEO of Playworld Systems, said in a release: "For more than 40 years, every playground experience we have created reflects our uncompromising craftsmanship and commitment to quality. We are excited to reveal to NRPA attendees how these key ingredients continue to yield the hard-wearing and easy-to-maintain playground products our customers want, helping to forge our legacy of play for generations."
