Adidas Announces Fit Smart Fitness Tracker

Adidas has announced the upcoming launch of Fit Smart, a fitness tracker designed for running, fitness, and training. Using Mio wrist-based heart rate technology, the tracker provides users with coached guidance for exercise intensity to keep them motivated and on track. It measures the user's heart rate and suggests the right workout intensity for optimal results. The instructions are simple to understand and help users work out more efficiently. The feedback is provided with vibration and visual prompts.

Fit Smart has an integrated accelerometer that tracks pace, stride, and distance. It can be wirelessly synced with the Adidas' miCoach Train and Run fitness app for iOS and Android. The tracker helps users set weekly goals and create long-term fitness plans, and then reach them.

Fit Smart will be launched in mid-August. In the U.S., it will be available at leading Best Buy stores on August 17. In markets around the world, it will be available at Adidas Sports Performance stores and at adidas.com on August 15. The tracker will be available in wider distribution on September 1.
