iPunch Smart Combat Gloves Get Boxers into Fighting Shape

iPunch smart boxing gloves use embedded sensors to track users' performance, deliver stats to their smartphone, and get them into fighting form.

iPunch combat gloves are a new smart solution for boxers looking to track their performance and have the stats delivered to their iPhone or Android device via Bluetooth. The smart gloves use two types of sensors – an impact sensor and a three-axis motion sensor – to track and analyse the type and impact force of the punches. From the data sent by the sensors, the app can calculate punch strength, type and speed in real time.

iPunch combat gloves are designed to look like MMA gloves and weigh only 4 ounces. They are less padded than traditional boxing gloves, which makes it easy for users to check their stats on their smartphone while wearing them. Full size boxing gloves with iPunch technology will also be available down the line.

iPunch serves as a trainer that gives boxers instructions which become progressively more challenging as they train. The trainer feature helps both new and experienced boxers develop their skills when they can't make it to their coaching session. iPunch gloves are designed for bag and pad work only. Users can review their performance after each 3-minute workout round. Their rounds are saved to their iPunch profile, allowing them to track their progress over time and share their stats with friends.

iPunch also provides users with a test of strength game, which lets them test their punching power and compare their performance to that of their friends. Each user gets three attempts to throw his or her hardest punch to determine the winner.

The smart gloves are available in different sizes, from small to extra large. They are compatible with all Android devices that use Bluetooth Smart, as well as with the iPhone (4S and newer), iPad (3rd generation and newer), and iPad Mini devices.
