Sony’s Smart Tennis Sensor, which launches in Japan later this month, provides players with detailed information about their performance and tips on improving their game. The sensor is placed at the bottom of the racquet, where it collects data like swing speed and the type of stroke the player uses. It can be linked to the player’s smartphone via Bluetooth, and players need to download the free app for iOS or Android devices. The sensor is currently compatible with six Yonex racquet models: the Vcore Tour G, Vcore Xi 98, Vcore Xi 100, Ezone Ai 98, Ezone Ai 100, and Ezone Ai Lite. It will be compatible with more models after launch.
