The Interactive Technologies and Games (ITAG) Conference 2014 will be held at The Council House in Nottingham on October 16 and 17.

The ITAG Conference 2014, which will be held on Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17 at The Council House in Nottingham, will provide a venue for academics and professionals in the interactive technologies sector to participate in interactive workshops, explore various games, and innovate within the areas of health, education, and disability. Industry professionals will have an opportunity to meet with researchers, make new industry connections, and collaborate on developing new ideas.

The ITAG Conference aims to present effective and accessible interactive games and resources for clinical and educational applications. The event encourages cross-fertilisation of ideas to create new projects and partnerships among industry professionals, researchers, practitioners, developers, and academics.

The 2014 event will feature keynote addresses from notable speakers including Dr. Sue Cobb and Dr. Mick Doneghan. The conference will consist of four strands: Practical Workshops, Paper Presentations, Exhibition, and Hackathon. The gaming 'Hackathon' will give attendees a chance to work together to create an application which will provide benefits in schools and other educational environments or enhanced accessibility to specific groups of users.

For Paper Presentations, submissions are sought on new research findings and detailed expositions related to a number of different areas, including rehabilitation gaming, articificial intelligence in games, mobile gaming, immersive gaming, robotics in gaming environments, interactive design with new input/output devices, games in assistive care, and interactive street gaming. The 7th annual ITAG Conference will also host an exhibition to present the various applications of games for educatio, health and assistive technologies.

The cost of the ITAG Conference is kept low to encourage attendance by professionals from different fields, from academics, teachers, students, and trainers to clinicians, game developers, companies, and members of the general public. The ITAG Conference is held annually in partnership with GameCity.
