WCPT Congress 2015 to Be Held in Singapore in May

The 2015 World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) Congress will be held from May 1 to 4 in Singapore.

The 2015 World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) Congress, the world’s largest physical therapy gathering, will run from May 1 to 4 in Singapore. The event provides physical therapists with a unique opportunity to meet other experts in their field in one place, to share their experiences, to learn, and be inspired.

The WCPT Congress will host 25 agenda-setting focused symposia led by the world’s leading experts. The sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including exercise adherence, advocacy, management, clinical trials, stroke, and chronic pain. The event will also host the third physical therapy summit on global health. Additionally, the Singapore Physiotherapy Association has arranged for various institutions to organise visits for delegates who have registered for the full congress. The visits will cover a wide range of institutions and specialty areas, and will take place during and after the congress.

21 courses on various health-related topics will be held by leading experts before and after the congress. The courses will offer attendees an opportunity to explore the topics in depth, meet with other experts in their area of specialty, and be informed about the latest thinking on practice and the latest practices in different countries around the world.

The World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) is a non-profit organisation that represents more than 350,000 physical therapists worldwide through 106 member organisations. Founded in 1951, WCPT is registered as a charity in the UK. Its mission is to promote the highest standard of healthcare and to further the physical therapy profession. The organisation aims to encourage high standards in practice, research, and education, to support the exchange of knowledge, and to collaborate with national and international organisations. The WCPT Congress takes place every four years. The organisation has held 15 events since its establishment.
