The Good Game Show Korea was held at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Ilsan, South Korea, from May 23 to 25. Held under the motto “Play and grow,” the 2014 event hosted more than 60,000 visitors and 301 companies, including 100 foreign companies from Europe, Asia, and North America. The trade show broke the attendance record this year and had the highest number of featured companies in the history of the event.

The Good Game Show aims to raise awareness of serious games by featuring a wide variety of applications and giving visitors an opportunity to try them out. The event also focuses on increasing the commercial value of serious games by expanding their scope and encouraging the spread of the applications through mobile devices.

The program at the 2014 Good Game Show included an exhibition, an export consultation convention, a symbiosis forum focusing on overseas expansion strategies, and a conference. Topics at this year’s conference ranged from research and development in education, health, society and the environment to the practical application of functional games. Additional events at the show included a speed stacks competition, a cultural performance, and a free giveaways event.
