The 2015 International CES, the leading event for the consumer electronics industry, will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 6 to 9. Before the main event kicks off, the Consumer Electronics Association will hold two press events on January 4 to present an overview of the current state of the consumer technology industry in the United States and internationally, and the trends to watch in 2015. The official media and networking event, CES Unveiled, will also be held on January 4 and provide both established industry brands and innovative startups with an opportunity to build buzz for their latest products.
The 2015 International CES will feature more than 3,500 exhibitors presenting their new consumer technology products and services across a wide range of categories. Exhibitors in the Biotech and Fitness and Sports Accessories categories will include brands like TAO Wellness, Fitbit, Force Impact Technologies, Garmin, GYMWATCH, InBody, InfoMotion Sports Technologies, Razer, Runtastic, Tanita, and Wahoo Fitness.
The trade show will feature 20 marketplaces showcasing the latest innovations across diverse product categories, including Education and Technology, Robotics, Sports Tech, Fitness and Technology, Health and Wellness, and Lifelong Tech. The Gaming Marketplace at CES 2015 will highlight the leading innovations in mobile gaming, consoles, and PCs, with brands including Oculus Rift, Virtuix, and Snail Games presenting their latest gaming technologies.
The conference program will include 250 sessions and welcome 750 prominent industry speakers, with keynotes delivered by leaders of global brands like Intel, Samsung, and Ford. The conference tracks will include the Digital Health Summit, Fitness Tech, the Kids@Play and Family Tech Summit, Lifestyle Technology, Sensors and MEMS Technology, Sports Tech, and Robotics.
The most innovative technologies will be honoured at the CES Innovation Awards across multiple categories, including Eco-Design and Sustainable Technologies, Safe Driving, Smart Home, Software and Mobile Apps, 3D Printing, Accessible Technologies, Home Appliances, and Gaming Hardware and Accessories. The honorees in the Wearable Technologies and Fitness, Sports and Biotech categories include the InBody Band, Samsung Gear VR, Adidas Smart Ball, Hocoma's Valedo, the QardioCore smart ECG monitor by Qardio, Sensoria Fitness Socks, the Polar M400 and V800, the Withings Activité smart watch, the VR Road Cycle by Moneual, BIOSPORT In-Ear Headphones by SMS Audio, the Bee Smart Diabetes Tracker by Vigilant Suisse, and the Linx Impact Assessment System by BlackBox Biometrics.
The Consumer Electronics Association has also announced several new events and awards for the show's 2015 edition, including Wearable Tech Awards, the Extreme Tech Challenge, Hardware Battlefield, and APPNATION IV. These will join a lineup of more than 20 specialty award programs including the Best of CES Awards, Technology and Engineering Emmy Awards, and Last Gadget Standing.
