EuropeActive, formerly EHFA, has announced the dates for the 5th International Standards Meeting (ISM), to be held in Amsterdam in the Netherlands on October 14 and 15. The location for the 2014 event will be the HealthCity Club Amstelveen.

The International Standards Meeting has become an important event for cooperation in the global fitness industry, drawing a lot of interest among experts in the field and providing industry professionals with opportunities to network and share insights into standards-setting and delivering fitness certifications.

ISM 2014 will focus on the overall theme, The Future of Fitness – Challenges between Standardisation and Commercialisation. The program at the event will include keynotes and roundtable discussions of key issues related to standardisation, such as ways of dealing with various fitness trends, emphasizing social skills without neglecting the technical components, and the potential of training courses for new target groups.
