The 11th Moscow International Open Festival of Fitness, MIOFF – Fitness Russia, was held from October 7 to 11, 2013 in Moscow.
The 2013 Moscow International Open Festival of Fitness, which ran from October 7 to 11 at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in Moscow, brought together fitness and health industry professionals, celebrity guests from Europe and the United States, and fitness enthusiasts from all over Russia, the CIS and the Baltic region for the 11th time since the event's launch in 2002.
The 2013 MIOFF featured around 130 workshops, 74 lectures and a number of training sessions and seminars across an area of 18,000 square metres. These included a seminar focusing on organisation management of sales and services in health clubs and a convention covering the five major directions in fitness: TRX training, functional fitness, pilates, dance, and yoga.
Russian and international presenters demonstrated some of the latest trends across all the traditional areas of fitness – functional, aerobics, step, dance, pilates, yoga, and combat – as well as specialised areas like weight loss and workout programs for pregnant women, children and seniors. Fitness instructors and trainers gave lectures on personal training sales, exercise for weight loss and nutrition.
MIOFF also featured an international specialised exhibition of fitness and wellness equipment, which ranged from gym equipment and sports clothing to software and various fitness accessories. A special forum was held for fitness industry professionals focusing on a number of areas of business management, including business communication, financial control, and staff motivation.
MIOFF will return to the Crocus Expo from October 6 to 10, 2014.
