iWall is a fitness gaming wall that delivers immersive motion games to challenge players to a vigorous strength or cardio workout through compelling gameplay.
iWall, the innovative fitness gaming wall developed by CSE Entertainment, combines motion tracking technology with compelling virtual environments to deliver a range of immersive motion games for players of all ages and fitness levels. The interactive games developed for the platform motivate players to work out at different levels of intensity and control gameplay with their movements and gestures.
Targeted at gyms, health clubs, activity parks and schools, the iWall provides users with a unique way to train and improve their fitness level, offering interactive gameplay that demands real training. The gaming platform uses high quality graphics to immerse users in virtual worlds and comes with several preloaded games that can be used either for warm-up before a workout or for interval training sessions.
iWall for gyms and health clubs
The iWall is perfectly suited for fitness and health clubs as it offers a great way to increase the sense of community and makes it easy for members to organize challenges. The games available with the platform can easily draw and motivate different target groups and are particularly appealing to younger customers. They are designed to create experiences that increase and sustain players’ motivation to exercise, helping improve their endurance, strength, speed, balance and cardiovascular health. All the games can be played either by a single player or two players competing against each other.
The iWall comes with two 65-inch screens, a PC and a motion sensor. It does not require too much space and leaves the floor free for other types of exercise. The platform stores all workout data in the cloud to offer customers insight into the usage and popularity of individual games.
The iWall offers a completely new kind of way of working out at gyms and is an excellent alternative to traditional fitness workouts. "iWall brings the long needed variation to our adult customers' workout but it's also a great way for adults and children to exercise together," says Päivi Kivimäki, Entrepreneur, Fitness center Klub 1, Jyväskylä Finland.
Fitness club owners are extremely satisfied with the variety that the platform offers to members. “iWall completes our range of services incredibly well,” adds Kivimäki. “It can be used as a warm up before the workout or as a fun way to raise your heartbeat and have a laugh during your gym visit."
Fitness games with iWall
The fitness games developed for the iWall offer a range of workout options for players of any age. Each game is designed for a different purpose and challenges players to improve a different set of skills.
Parkour offers a quick way to raise the heart rate, delivering vigorous cardio and interval training sessions that challenge players to race across virtual city rooftops to beat their opponents or their own best score. To win, players must find the fastest track to the finish line and run in place to move their virtual character forward in the game. The faster they run and the higher they raise their knees, the faster their avatar moves. Along the way, players must climb up virtual walls and move past various obstacles by jumping over them, crouching under them or moving left or right to dodge them.
Space Shooter offers a fun workout for the upper body, core muscles and arms. To score points, players must dodge or destroy meteorites and other obstacles by moving left and right and making wide movements with their arms. They can gain more power and energy in the game by moving to the sides or front and back to pick up virtual blue balls. They can also use a laser beam to destroy obstacles by holding the T-pose for a few seconds and raising their hands above their head. To defeat their final opponent in the game, “The Boss,” they must identify and target the character’s weak spots.
Shadow Master was developed to improve players’ balance, flexibility, coordination and muscle strength. The game requires players to stretch and do various challenging poses as accurately as they can to score points. Players must mimic each pose shown by the virtual sensei to keep the background on the screen green. The faster they do it, the more points they get and, to get higher scores, they must keep the pose steady. Players get instant feedback on the screen that makes it easy for them to improve their performance and allows them to compare their scores with their opponents.
Hyperslam is a motion game designed to train players' upper body and hand-eye coordination. It is an interactive racket game that works both the gross and fine upper body and core muscles by challenging players to swing their arms to serve a virtual ball, slam it past their opponents and defend their passes. The two hardest difficulty levels challenge players to play with two balls. The first player to win two rounds wins the match. The game is an excellent tool for reaction training and improving players’ motor skills.
The iWall gaming platform does not require players to use anything but their own bodies as motion controllers. In addition to health clubs and gyms, the iWall makes an excellent solution for amusement parks, shopping malls and airports, leisure centers, YMCAs, schools, hotels, hospitals and rehabilitation centers.
