ACRM Annual Conference Presents the Latest in Rehabilitation Research
The ACRM 93th Annual Conference brought together experts in different areas of rehabilitation for five days of knowledge exchange, collaboration and peer-to-peer learning in Chicago.
The ACRM 93th Annual Conference, Progress in Rehabilitation Research (PIRR), brought together experts from every area of rehabilitation for an annual meeting, which took place at the Hilton Chicago in Chicago. The conference was held from November 2 to 4 and preceded by a pre-conference event on October 30 and November 1.
Presented by the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM), the Progress in Rehabilitation Research conference is the world’s largest conference for interdisciplinary rehabilitation research. It serves as a platform that brings together all members of the rehabilitation team for critical interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and insights into the latest research findings and evidence-based practice and standards.
The 2016 conference provided a meeting place for rehabilitation providers, clinicians, researchers and administrators from more than 60 countries. More than 800 rehabilitation institutions participated in the event as exhibitors, faculty, sponsors or attendees. The conference program welcomed leading rehabilitation experts and researchers as speakers and covered a broad range of areas, including robotics and assistive technologies, measurement, geriatric and pediatric rehabilitation, neuroplasticity, spinal cord injury and stroke, pain, clinical practice, neurodegenerative disease, and military and veterans’ affairs.
Exhibitors at the event included a number of industry leaders, among them g.tec Guger Technologies, Neofect, Dynavision, Motekforce Link, Hocoma, GestureTek Health, MindMaze, Barrett Technology, Tyromotion, and the Mayo Clinic. The exhibitors presented the latest methods and technologies to facilitate, enhance, measure and assist with the rehabilitation of patients suffering from different types of disorders, diseases and conditions.
The American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) is a leading organization of rehabilitation professionals dedicated to supporting research that meets the needs of patients and clinicians and promotes the health, productivity, independence and quality of life of people with disabling conditions.
The ACRM 94th Annual Conference will take place at the Hilton Atlanta in Atlanta from October 23 to 28, 2017. Those wishing to participate can submit their proposals for instructional courses and symposia by January 6, and for scientific papers and posters by February 28, 2017.
