Russian Health Care Week 2014: Report

The 2014 Russian Health Care Week, held in Moscow from December 8 to 12, brought together experts in rehabilitation, prevention, medical equipment, and health improvement products and technologies.

The 2014 Russian Health Care Week was held at the Expocentre Fairgrounds in Moscow from December 8 to 12. The five-day event hosted a series of conferences and exhibitions, and covered a number of areas in healthcare, including prevention, rehabilitation, health improvement technologies, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and sports medicine. The Russian Health Care Week is supported by several government bodies, including the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Moscow City Government, and the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

The Russian Health Care Week attracts leading medical equipment manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies each year and provides them with a unique platform to promote their innovations. The 2014 event welcomed exhibitors from around the world and showcased their latest products and services to an audience of medical professionals, entrepreneurs, government officials, and general visitors. This year, the event welcomed more than 30,000 specialists.

As part of the Russian Health Care Week, the 8th edition of Healthy Lifestyle, the International Exhibition for Rehabilitation and Preventive Treatment Facilities, Medical Aesthetics, Health Improvement Technologies and Products for Healthy Lifestyle, was held at the Expocentre. The annual exhibition is the leading event for the health and lifestyle sectors in the region and one of the central events of the Russian Health Care Week.

The Russian Health Care Week Forum hosted a number of conferences, including Medical Devices 2014, the International Medical and Technical Forum, SportMed 2014, the 9th International Scientific Conference, and the Conference on Practical Issues Concerning IT Applications in Health Care: Cooperation Management in Health Care Organisations and Quality Control of Medical Care.

Russia's largest annual event for the healthcare industry is organised by the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health Care of the Russian Federation, and Expocentre ZAO. The event is also supported by the Russian Office of the World Health Organization and the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
