Hocoma has released a new video of its robotic gait trainer, the Lokomat. The Lokomat is a locomotion therapy device widely used in physical therapy and rehabilitation.

The robotic trainer consists of a treadmill, a Levi body weight support system, and a robotic gait orthosis. The device is very effective at helping improve walking function in individuals who have suffered a stroke or spinal cord injury. It provides patients with Augmented Performance Feedback, which keeps them motivated to stick with the training program and gives them instructive feedback in a virtual setting. The Lokomat also provides physical therapists and trainers with advanced assessment tools that help them keep track of the patients' progress. Watch the video to see the Lokomat in action.
